BAND BIOGRAPHY
Blackfish are a bunch of mates that have been playing music together for years. In this and previous guises they have twice represented Cornwall in Ireland for the International Pan Celtic Song Contest (despite not having even a remotely celtic sound...), and have played to audiences ranging from two old blokes and a dog to 5,000 people on festival stages. Blackfish have the luxury of a well equipped studio of their own, and very tolerant neighbours!
Dave Richards teaches at a music college, Nina Hudson is a licensing officer, Joe Westfoot a civil servant and Rob Valentine a self confessed "house bitch". They have influences as diverse as Turin Brakes and ZZ Top, and a strange habit of bellowing "HONK!" All music is written by the band, and Dave scribbles the lyrics on scraps of paper on the studio floor.
